What to expect
Program Duration and Maximum Time for Completion
The program will have four academic terms and must be completed within five years from the date the student began studies in the first term of the program.
The courses will be presented using a variety of instructional strategies, resources and activities including lectures, case studies, discussions, presentations, and individual and group work. Courses have been designed with learner-centered approaches that promote collaboration and student engagement.ÌýÌý
Students will work with actual data sets to simulate solving business problems.ÌýÌý

- Knowledge of English demonstrated by one of the following:
- English 12 with a minimum 'C+' grade or equivalent,Ìýor

- Knowledge of mathematics demonstrated by one of the following:
- Math 11 Foundations with a minimum ‘C+’ grade or equivalent,Ìýor
- Pre-Calculus 11Ìýwith a minimum 'C+' grade or equivalent,Ìýor
- VCC Math 0861 and 0871Ìýwith a minimum 'C+' grade,Ìýor
- VCC Math Assessment with the following scores: Basic Math with a minimum 80%ÌýandÌýAlgebra with a minimum 60%

Seats are offered to eligible applicants with completed applications, in order of application completion date (except for programs with competitive admissions). A complete application includes an application form, evidence of educational pre-requisites (e.g. transcripts), any required supporting documents (e.g. language proficiency, audition video), and the required deposit or fee payment. If you do not meet the requirements for the term applied, your application may be cancelled.

Courses *
Classes are typically scheduled any day from Monday to Saturday, any time between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. Each class is three hours long, once per week. Students usually have 1 or 2 classes per day. See individual course schedules for details.
Prior learning assessment and recognition
Students may request formal recognition of prior learning attained through informal education, work, or other life experience, including Indigenous ways of knowing. Credits may be granted to students who are able to sufficiently demonstrate the learning outcomes of specific courses.
PLAR is available for the following courses: MKTG 1044 Marketing Math; MGMT 1021 Computer Applications for Management.
Only 6 credits of this program may be completed by PLAR.
Methods for assessing prior learning may include exams, portfolios, interviews, and other evaluations.
Please contact the Department for details. If PLAR is successful, transcripts will reflect an ‘S’ grade (satisfactorily completed), which is not included in grade point average (GPA) calculations.
